Aligns instruction with state-adopted standards at the appropriate level of rigor
Every time I put together a lesson plan, I align what I plan with state-adopted standards. Whenever I am planning for reading, these are given to me by the district and I follow these to ensure each is covered throughout the year. For each week's ELA lesson plan, I am given an outline of the text and the corresponding standards to be covered. I use those standards to make sure my lessons align and apply to the content needed to be covered. Whenever planning for these lessons, there are questions that can be used to meet the standards. An image below shows a template used to create questions from the Literature standards.
