**Make a claim about where you feel your classroom management skills lie as of now based on information you have provided in the rest of this critical task. What strategies do you think you have to continue to work on? What strategies do you feel you have mastered?
I know for sure that I struggle with classroom management as far as standing at the front of the class and using my “teacher voice”, making sure they can all hear me and are quietly listening. My CT has already warned me that my voice projection is a concern and it’s just something with which I am struggling. As I have said, I feel like I have all the knowledge about what I should do and know all the tips and tricks, but then I get up to teach and just freeze. I have a good group of kids, they are just very chatty and I need to figure out the best way to manage that. My CT uses the exact same clapping “attention-grabber” every time and I have been introducing new ones to them because the same thing every time is boring to me and I want to keep it interesting for them. I am hoping to have a few of those established when I am teaching full time and have better voice projection. The other thing I think I am decent at is time management. Sometime the time gets away from us, which is understanding, but I do my best to tell them, “okay, you have x amount of time left and then we are moving on”, because unfortunately there are not enough hours in a school day.

This day we talked a lot about what classroom management means to us. The written portion is the explanation that helped me to create the play-doh picture.
