Models clear, acceptable oral and written communication skills
1. Another important form of communication with parents is that of the parent-teacher conference. These have been mostly informal meetings of parents with my CT and I where we discuss the student’s progress. Grades, behavior, performance, etc. are all discussed and parents have a chance to voice concerns or ask questions. For some parents, these conferences are the only means of communication throughout the year, so they can be incredibly important.
2. Particularly because I will be with these students all day for five days a week teaching them, I decided to write a letter to their parents in order to introduce myself professionally.
