1. A list of key words and synonyms related to my inquiry question:
-elementary
-science
-engagement
-learning style
-learning style preference
-hands-on learning
-kinesthetic learning
-STEM
2. Easiest teacher-researcher data collection strategies to incorporate into my teaching from the four we read about would be 2, 3, and 4. I already have these and am continuing to collect them. Field notes seems to be the easiest, even if it's then going back and taking reflective notes from a lesson I completed with the students. I like interviews because they help me get a feel for my students, but I wouldn't say it's the best method. I also like using student work as an artifact. I feel like that is a good indicator of performance, which usually goes hand in hand with engagement. Those who are engaged typically perform better.
3. I do think that incorporating the literature is going to be my most difficult task. I had a hard time with it last semester, which actually really surprised me since I thought I had a pretty simple wondering. Possibly the issue was feeling so boxed-in by the required amounts of each type of literature required. Not that I am suggesting google to solve my problem, but I think having more freedom over the types of articles chosen would help.
